Rikku got to the TA lounge early, and set up the masks and cloaks outside of it, with a note above that read

PLEASE TAKE ONE

She got her own mask and cloak in place, in case anyone showed up early. There was a handy stash of rum placed outside to distract any radio squirrels.

"You may call me... MR. PEANUT!" he declared as he doffed his top hat.

"Ah!" Red Demon nodded. She had NO idea who 'Bowie' was, but she was afraid that saying so would give her away. "I should have guessed. Cool. Hello, Bowie!"

"Sparky," it wasn't that difficult for Liz to choose her code name.

"...or not," John's eyes widened through his mask. "How 'about Hotshot?"

"You know what we should do?" Mr. Peanut said thoughtfully. "Pretend we are gremlin bit and use it as an excuse to create some chaos somehow."

"Smoke," Mercury nodded. "I like it. Welcome to the group, Smoke."

"Or to the wall," Smoke said. "Like the room had tilted sideways."

"Thank you, Mercury," Smoke said with a little bow.

"I think the ceiling might be easier to make it look like Fandom did it," Princess Butterfly mused. "I mean, seriously, if we stick things to the wall they're likely to droop. The ceiling would keep them hanging straight."

"Point," Smoke admitted.

Librarian made Jess think of Sam, and that was just about one of the last things he wanted. "I like Bookworm," he said with a smile. "Thanks."

Red Demon crossed her arms and frowned. "But wouldn't that let people know who we are?"

"Not exactly!" Jamie pointed out. "The point would be to do this at random. So people would not know our identities or tip our hand. We would then do chaotic things that we can do out in the open and engage in silly behavior and blame it all on the green critters."

"Anytime, Bookworm." He smirked, shot off a bit of a salute, and settled back into the shadows.

Mercury was evil. And thought she recognized the hair.

"That's not half as fun as Twinkles," she pouted. "Or Sparkles. We don't have a Sparkles yet. How can we not have a Sparkles?"

"I don't know. It sounds chaotic, but not on a whole. I mean, it would be a good excuse if we got caught, but it just doesn't sound right. Especially blaming the poor gremlins."

"You're not very good at this secret identity thing, are you, Mr. Peanut?" Wolfman asked.

Mercury was so evil. "Twinkles and Sparkles? Those are my choices?" Man, he should've come up with his own.

"The gremlins have it coming," Wolfman told her. "You don't know what they're capable of."

"There's always Sparkletwink," Wolfman contributed helpfully.

"Lick my salty nuts, Wolfman."

For some reason ~~because his mun liked tormenting him~~, Wolfman completely blanked on anything witty to say in reply.

"Oh, yeah? Well... I'm trying to limit my sodium intake!"

"Is that better?" John was getting confused. "Okay, what the hell, Sparkletwink."

"Well, it's true I haven't been bitten yet. But that makes it even worse." Red Demon shrugged. "I mean at least Fandom's messed with me, so that's just fair to blame it for stuff I do. I'm not chickening out or anything, but are we really gonna blame other people and... gremlins... for the stuff we do? Doesn't that count as hurting others?"
