Tuesday February 28th || Assistant's Lounge

Phoebe opens up the lounge in a very good mood... even if she is trying to write a mid-term for a class to take on Thursday.

"Not on Tuesdays and Thursdays," she reminded him with a smile. "My first class is CJ's."

"Good, then I have you all to myself until second period," Cole said with a grin.

Phoebe grinned back and nodded. "I like this plan."

Cole gave her a curious look. "Only if you want me to, sweetheart."

"You've held me through some of my worst premonitions since you've known me... nightmares aren't that different, right?"

"No, they're not," Cole said. He leaned back and look down at her face. "You okay?"

Phoebe reached for his hand. "I... I'm not sure, love. The premonition from Sunday..."

"...isn't going to happen," Cole finished. "I'm not bringing Angelus back, and I would never let him hurt you."

Phoebe shook her head and pulled him to her. "That's not it at all, I know that, sweetheart. You'd never let anyone hurt me." Her eyes looked troubled. "It's just... Cole? I still feel what happened in the vision..."

Since she'd actually cried herslef to sleep last night, Paige slept in last and wandered into the lounge hoping it would be empty.

Then of course she saw Phoebe and Cole looking very happy and turned to leave, "oh sorry, I was hoping maybe it'd be empty"

And yes those are tears, and he's not even left yet.

"Paige?" Phoebe drops her notes and goes to her sister, putting and arm around her and bringing her to the couch.

She bites her lip and looks at her sister, "it's fine, it's nothing, it's just...he's leaving" she says, vaguely aware how very stupid it is for her to this upset about it.

"Geoff." She hugged her sister to her, petting her hair. "I kow how much harder on you it is than on people like Kiki and I," she says softly. "To us, he's a friend and family, so it hurts deeply. To you, he was your first love and the loss of that..." she looks over Paige's head at Cole. "...that cuts deeper than anything else ever can."

His eyes filled with horror. He still heard the sound of her neck cracking echoing in his ears, like the aftermath of a car crash echoing in the head of its victim. For Phoebe to still be experiencing the premonition was an awful thought. "Oh, love," he whispered, drawing her into his arms.

She swallowed hard and nodded slowly, hugging Phoebe back. "He's going on Thursday and he think's I'm gonna be fine, but...I'm really not sure."

Phoebe nodded.

"It's going to be hard and it's going to hurt, sis. But you will be okay, because you're not alone. You let me lean on you when I lost..." she swallowed. "...when I lost Cole. I'm here for you to lean on... and so is Piper."

She smiles just a little then, "thanks Pheebes, I really appreciate that, and you know I'm really glad you're happy and everything worked out."

She pauses for a moment wondering whether she should tell her this next bit, "I saw James last night and he was being...well nice actually, I told him about Geoff and he didn't explode or anything."

Phoebe leaned against him gratefully, and felt him react to the realization that she was still experiencing it. She was trying not to shake too badly. "I haven't said anything because I thought it would fade like the imprints from the others always have. But this one... it's not fading. I keep hearing my neck... feeling myself..." She swallowed, closing her eyes.

Phoebe bit the inside of her cheek hard enough to draw blood. "Maybe he realizes that you're hurting enough and anything else would add to it?" she said nicely.

[ooc: have her come by Geoff's office hours! Kiki's having ~~OMGNOTDATE~~ lunch with Geoff, and then doing her independent study stuff and then going to poetry]

She nods again "yeah maybe," she says then sighs, "why can't it even just be easy?"

"Blessed as witches, cursed as women?" she suggested helpfully.

See that? That's Paige's annoyed look.

"Great!" Well there's not much you can say to that is there?

"How do we make it stop?" he asked helplessly.

Kiki pokes her head in, and, seeing Phoebe and Bel, raises an eyebrow and says, "Afternoon, you two. Is it safe to come in?" She's smiling at them, however, although she looks a little sad.
