Phoebe opens up the lounge in a very good mood... even if she is trying to write a mid-term for a class to take on Thursday.

"Bridge suggested meditation and working on putting shields around my mind... but I may have to wait for this to fade some, first." She tightened her hold on him.

Phoebe looks up and nods at Kiki. "Of course it's safe, BFF. Why wouldn't it be?"

"Can I do anything to help?" He kissed the top of her head.

Phoebe smiled faintly. "We're strong, Paige, remember. We can beat things like this... it just takes us longer than most."

"Hey," Bel said warily.

"Hey, Bel," Kiki smiles at him. He and Phoebe look so happy together that she's sure they've really begun working things out, and she's not about to draw attention to any of that. "I just wanted to be sure I wasn't, um, interrupting anything. Anyway, I'm trying to find my books for Western Lit. I thought I might have left them here. I've got Independent Study this afternoon."

"Don't think badly of me if I just suddenly break down and cry about it?" She suggested with a faint smile. "Just being here... and me being able to tell you what..."

"Yeah that's what Geoff said, about me being strong I mean, I just really wish this happening, on top of the whole James thing it's just..." and she pauses and looks up at Phoebe with a sad expression, "I was going to go with him, before we started talking more."

Phoebe points to the table where hers are. "Hey, Kiki... I've been re-reading some passages in Inferno..."

"You were going to leave?" she asks guiltily.

"Not for good, just...I hear stuff on the radio and things you know and well, I just didn't really you needed me here, and I promised Dr House I'd look after Geoff and, I just thought I'd be more use with him." she replies sadly.

"We need you," she says softly.

"Do you though? As a sister maybe, but not as a witch? I heard the radio the other day, stuff about Angel and knives being blown up and stuff, and well you never ask me to help with anything. I know Prue's around so I'm not really needed for...well you know, but I'm the one that's here."

"I'm right here," he said, comforting arms around her. "And I promise, it's not going to happen like that."

"I betrayed Cole," she finally says. "I plotted with Angel to get Cole to stop trying to bring back Angelus... I couldn't live with the idea of something happening to you or Piper," Phoebe says softly. "When I got Cole to give me the weapon...the first thing I thought of was that Piper could blow it up." She bites her lip. "I was pretending to be a big sister and protect you... I didn't mean to make you feel unneeded."

Cole stretched out on the couch. "You two go ahead and study," he said, "I'll just go over my Celtic Studies notes."

Phoebe nodded and lay her head back against his chest. "I know. You won't let anyone..." Her voice is clear. She knows he won't allow that to happen to her.

"Don't forget about the importance of the swanlings in that story," Phoebe said with a laugh.

She tkaes a deep breath, she really should have mentioned this before.

"You weren't pretending Pheebes, you are my big sister and I love having you around and knowing that you care about me, but you did" she says reffering it her feeling unneeded.

"I'm sure you never meant too, but you did." she repeats crying now.

Kiki is hunting under some of the chairs. "There they are!" She emerges triumphantly with dust in her hair, and sets Frankenstein, Faust and Inferno down on the table. Brushing herself off, she asks Phoebe, "I was actually going to ask you about the Inferno. Do you really think we're going to be in one of the deepest levels of hell just because we're witches?"

Phoebe takes a seat. She sighs, running a hand through her hair. "I've been thinking about that, Kiki. It seems that by just being who we are, we're cursed or condemned. But I don't like that widely-held belief. Besides... I think you and I ahve been to the deepest levels of hell right here in Fandom."

"There is something to that idea," Kiki nods, sitting down. Resting her chin on her hand she says, "Ever since I d- ever since I caught a glimpse of what comes next, I've been curious about it. I'm not so sure Dante is right, but I can't say I got a very good look."

Phoebe nods at her. "I've wondered the same thing since Klea tore through my mind. I'm not ready to die, but I am curious about the other side. We may have to add that to our list of things to ~~investigate~~ read about."

Phoebe feels truly awful and her own eyes are full of tears as she holds Paige close.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to, Paige. You are needed and wanted." Just Sawyer isn't welcome around us.

And now of course Paige feels even worse for making her sister cry and rests her head against her.

"It's okay and I don't you didn't mean too, and I know I'm wanted." she says letting out a calm, measured breath, "anyway I'm not going now am I?"

Oh and if Paige had any idea what Sawyer had been thinking last night he'd not be so welcome around her either, good job she's not the empath really.
