TA Lounge - Friday

After waking up early and hanging flyers about the Boykissy Event, Veronica decided to go hang out in the assistant's lounge and take all the cookies she had baked the day before, now that they wouldn't need them for the Boykissy Event.

She opened the lounge and started a pot of coffee.

[Veronica's mun stayed home from work sick and wants to play]

"Not really," Piper replied. "Last weekend was busy. I think I'm gonna use this weekend to relax. And maybe bake."

"No crises, and I had a really good night last night. Plus it's Frday. So, also no complaints." Angela chewed on the pizza, savoring it.

"What did you do last night?"

"And next weekend we'll be in California!" Veronica added with a huge grin.

"Six-month anniversary with Marty. I mean, if you don't count the time we spent broken up," Angela said. "We went to Cafe Fina and then he kind of reenacted our first kiss. It was cute."

"I can't wait!" Piper said excitedly. "It'll be nice to get away from here for a little bit."

"Yes it will," she agreed. "I need to call my dad today and let him know our travel plans."

"Aw, that's sweet," Veronica said. "I'm so glad you two got back together."

"I can't wait to meet your dad. I didn't get a chance to during Parents Weekend."

"Me too," Angela laughed. She finished the pizza.

"So do you have any plans for the weekend? I'll probably go see the play, 'cause Rory's directing."

"And I am very much looking forward to meeting your Grams and your sister."

"Oh, I'll definitely be at the play," Veronica said with a grin. "Logan's one of the leads."

Broots wandered over into the Assistant lounge. He was bored, his laptop kept singing at him, and he hadn't been there before. What more reason did he need? "Oh, hey."

"Hey," Veronica smiled. "Want some coffee?"

"They are going to love you, I know it."

"Coffee, yes please! Just point the way." Broots shifted the strap of his laptop on his shoulder. "Um, how are you?"

Angela raised her eyebrows. "I didn't know he acted. I kind of thought he would want to stay away from that, considering his family stuff."

"Which part's he playing?"

"I know my dad's going to love you, too," Veronica said.

"Um, can I ask you a favor though?"

Veronica grabbed another mug from the cabinet and filled it.

"I'm pretty good. Hey, I heard on the radio that you're teaching now. Congrats."

[i pinged kry to see if you could get it!]

"One of the four lovers," she said. "I forget which. And he doesn't act, best he can figure, Barbossa auditioned him when he was in detention."

Piper nodded. "Sure."

Broots did his best not to turn green. Or red. "Um, yeah, I am. Kind of terrifying and awesome at the same time." He ran a hand through his hair and looked around for something to sit on.

"You can't tell my dad I'm dating Logan, you can't mention that I'm friends with Angel and you most definitely cannot mention Bel's attacks."

"Kind of like Xander Harris or Callisto," Angela nodded. "Jake Gavin "auditioned" for them."

She shook her head. "I can't believe even a fake principal would make people do this who didn't want to. We go to such a weird, weird school."

"So, I realize that you're kind of busy these days, but would you have time to do some research for me?"
