TA Lounge - Friday

After waking up early and hanging flyers about the Boykissy Event, Veronica decided to go hang out in the assistant's lounge and take all the cookies she had baked the day before, now that they wouldn't need them for the Boykissy Event.

She opened the lounge and started a pot of coffee.

"Jake auditioned Callisto?" Veronica asked, mentally facepalming as she remembered him asking for a cheerleading outfit.

She sighed. "Well, there's never a dull moment, that's for sure."

"I won't say a word about any of that. I promise."

"Thanks," Veronica said, a slightly embarrassed grin on her face. "And, um, mentioning that you're a witch might not be a great idea either. My dad doesn't really get the whole paranormal thing."

"Sure! Um, of the legal or illegal variety? And don't mind the random music. Small program went a little haywire." Broots got his laptop out and silently asked it not to sing.

"That's what I heard somebody say?" Angela said ~~as her player realized she's not sure she has the IC knowledge~~. "Might just be a rumor."

She nodded at the "never a dull moment" part. "Absolutely. Like, Janet Frasier said Marty's going to blow up a shack after classes. For art."

"Possibly both," she admitted, walking over to lock the door so they would have warning if anyone else tried to come in.

"I need you to get access to adoption records in New Mexico and see what you can find about Isabel Evans."

"Well, Logan said he heard that Jake auditioned people, but I don't think he ever told me who."

She blinked at Angela's other words. "Blowing up a shack for art?" she shook her head. "Your boyfriend is weird."

Broots loaded up the computer and the instant it let out a sound that seemed to the beginning of a song, shut the volume down. "New Mexico...New Mexico. Any spefic city or area?"

"I don't like to go around telling people about the magic thing anyway," Piper said with a grin. "I'll try not blow anything up ~~unless it's Duncan~~ or cast any weird spells when we're visiting Neptune."

"Roswell."

"I could think of some things ~~and people~~ I wouldn't mind seeing you blow up in Neptune," Veronica admitted with a grin. "But I'm pretty sure all the evil we have is of the human variety."

"Just tell me what ~~and who~~ to blow up and I will," Piper snickered. "And really, human evil is possibly the worst kind."

"And you're just noticing this now? I figured it out after he dressed up like Principal Connor," Angela grinned.

"Apparently he and Nadia are experimenting with some thing they saw in London. I don't know, I'm kind of stuck on the kaboom part."

"You are definitely right about that," Veronica agreed.

"Are you planning to go to the play tomorrow?" Piper asked, figuring a subject change might be a good idea.

"Marty is taking Nadia somewhere to blow stuff up?" Veronica asked.

"Would I miss a chance to mock Logan?"

"I'd be worried about you if you did," Piper giggled.

"So I've been told?" Angela shrugged. "I kind of got stuck on how blowing a shack up was art and didn't ask for details."

Jake woke in time for lunch. So he grabbed his sketchbook and wandered down to the TA lounge to drink some coffee and sketch before Art and Music class. He looked briefly surprised upin discovering people. Then shrugged and walked over to poke the coffee pot. "Hey, V, Piper."

"Hey Jake," Veronica greeted. "There's pizza."

Veronica giggled too, then turned to greet Jake (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomassistant/12153.html?thread=859001#t859001).

Jake turned his head, interested. "Pizza? ...from the chef?"

"No, from the npc pizza place," she said. "It's safe, I promise."

Veronica shook her head. "I... there are just no words."
