Bel opened up the Assistants' Lounge for the day. He was still in a good mood about telling Logan to stay away from Angel last night. Petty? Nah, not at all.

Bel tried to remember what Cam's relationship with Molly was like. "He's like a big brother to her, right?" he said. "Umm, talking to Cam about Molly and Big Os would be a bad idea. Flowers, flowers are good. Or chocolate. Or jewelry."

"I understand feeling like you don't have a choice," Isabel said, staring into her coffee cup. "But I'm glad I was able to help."

She looked up from her coffee and tried to smile. "I'm pretty sure he does. And so do the rest of us."

"You okay?" Bel said. "You seem...kinda down."

"Yeah, sorta like a big brother thing. Even though they sleep together sometimes, in the non-dirty way." Blair frowned a little. "I'm getting flowers for Jaye...it seems a little impersonal."

"Do girls like kisses? Like, is that a good present? Because Molly and I haven't really kissed yet and I could plan to do that for her birthday!" Blair grumbled a little. "After the play, I kinda got practice in with a good kisser."

"Just stuff," she shrugged. "There's nothing I can do about it. And I'm really not in the mood to give a funny speech today."

"Kisses are very good," Bel said. "In fact, you shouldn't be thinking about any Os or Ns or Ps until you've been kissing for awhile. And kissing's fun, too."

Rolling his eyes, Bel nodded. "Tell me about it. I don't have any idea what I'm going to do for mine."

"Really? Wow." Blair bounced. "Yeah, getting kisses from Nadia was pretty nice and Call...umm...other times it was good. So I should do that."

"And maybe chocolate too."

Bel nodded. "Go with the kisses. That's a good idea. Just, uh, take it slow, yeah."

"I know," Isabel grimaced. "I honestly think I'll be making mine up about two minutes before it's my turn to speak. I was thinking about talking about privacy." No she wasn't bitter. Not at all. "Professor Cregg told me it doesn't necessarily have to be funny."

Bel gave Isabel a questioning look but decided not to press. "Same here," he said. "About making it up I mean. Funniest thing I can think of was the radio last night saying that Angel dumped Logan, but I know not everyone finds that as amusing as I do."

"Slow is good. I can do slow." Blair bounced. "Thanks for helping me out, man! So how are things going for you lately?"

[no problem! I'm going to be going out for dinner later too]

Anders blinked a little in surprise. "I was just thinking the same thing. I'm not getting the impression the last principal left too much in the way of instructions, you know? And if we still have to do it, we should get the people who live on those floors to pitch in. I mean, it's their common rooms."

"Yeah, I've already praised President Bush. I don't think that will work again."

Isabel snorted. She'd read the issue of the paper she had missed while she was in Roswell and knew all about the results of the boykissy poll. "I'm sure," Isabel said dryly.

Faithful trotted in, his tail held high. That may have been a smirk.

Bel glanced down. "I still owe you lobster and crab, don't I?" he said.

"And shrimp, yes." Faithful's tail and whiskers twitched in amusement.

"Going okay," Bel said. "I've been behaving myself."

"Something funny?" Bel asked.

"Many things, though some not as much." Faithful batted away at an invislbe dust spec with his paw.

"Tell me about it then," Bel said. "Too bad I didn't run into you before speech. I could've used something funny."

Faithful tilted his head to the side and mewed. Then he jumped up on a file cabinet and began to lick his paw. "Alanna decided to do battle with teddy bears. One of them ended up in flames and the other strangled with ribbon. It was rather amusing to watch the destruction of so much cotton."

"Teddy bears?" Bel repeated. "That must've been a, um, fierce battle."

"Well, humor in the Underworld relies mainly on humiliating an enemy," Bel said. "I'm not used to any other kind."

Faithful snickered. "One was from her ex-boyfriend. The other was a present. I hope you can figure out which one was which."
