Assistant's Lounge [3/27]

After Sociology of Violence, Veronica headed to the TA Lounge instead of going back to her room. She may have been trying to avoid thinking about what happened in Neptune over the weekend.

She started a pot of coffee and flopped down on the couch to finish reading the copy of Cosmo she had picked up at the airport yesterday.

Logan wrapped his arms around her. "Because," he said, kissing the top of her head. "I'm just too adorable to resist."

Veronica grinned. "Hmm, I don't know about that," she said. "But you could probably persuade me to share. What have you got to offer?"

Logan considered. "I'm afraid that a poor fellow like myself can only offer the use of my body. For one night I will be completely and utterly at your command."

Veronica tilted her head in thought for a moment, then handed him some pizza.

"I'll be sure to save that offer for just the right moment," she said with a grin.

Logan grinned, gave her a kiss and took a bite of the pizza.

"So how was your morning?" Veronica asked before taking a bite of her own pizza. "Did you even hear me leave?"

"Of course," Logan said. "I also noticed the extreme absence of you to snuggle with. I did manage to go back to sleep, but I'm telling you, that pillow is not a sufficient replacement for having you next to me."

"Sorry, it's the downside of having a second period class," she said. "I would have much rather stayed in bed with you than go learn about the prison system though."

"Next time, you should just skip class and stay with me," Logan smiled. "I think I could make it worth your while."

"Oh really?" she asked. "And how do you plan to do that?"

"What? Spending the morning with me isn't good enough for you?" Logan smiled.

"Well it won't look as good on my college applications," she admitted.

"You would be surprised how many colleges rate you higher for having spent time with Logan Echolls," Logan said.

"Oh really?" Veronica asked, supressing a laugh. "I'm pretty sure that I couldn't write my application essay about what we did last night."

"It's all in how you phrase it," Logan said. "I mean, if you described it metaphorically, you might have a winner. Talk about your one-on-one study sessions with a fellow student. Explain how you took control and led him through a series of exercises designed to refresh his mind and body. Talk about your series of rewards for goals achieved."
