Assistants' Lounge, Tuesday, May 2

Bel finally came out of hiding to do some studying away from rambunctious kittens. Due to the mysterious disappearances of almost all his teachers (which he had nothing to do with, of course), he only had one final remaining: Celtic Studies. Even though he had an in with the TA, he decided to spend the day studying anyway.

[ooc: Here for all your TA lounge or demon-harassing needs. I have 2-1/2 hours of work left and I'm bored out of my mind.]

"So you're packing up and leaving now?" Bel asked.

That was the unfortunate part of being finished with her classes - it meant leaving. She nodded sadly, and took a breath. "Yes, this evening. Most of my things are together already - I don't have much to pack up since I have to carry everything. I was just sort of taking a - a last walk around the school."

"Nightmares," Angel admitted. "Last I got a good night's sleep I thought I was five."

"Yeah, tell me about it," Bel said quietly. He hesitated a moment, then asked, "Since Piper?"

"Why aren't you staying?" Bel asked.

"Kinda, but I don't think it's that," Angel said. "Piper was about the people I've hurt. These people I haven't even met."

"You got me there then," Bel said. "Phoebe's the one you should be talking to about possible visions of the future."

A shadow crossed over Angel's face, but he quickly covered it. "So how are you doing?"

"A few reasons, really - it's been pointed out to me by a few people, including my own self, that I don't have enough control over my powers. Control that I'd need if I were to stay here. My mom wants me to study under the coven she's a part of to develop my skills more." Kiki gave a half-hearted grin. "She's probably right about that."

"I'm fine," Bel said with a dismissive wave of his hand, avoiding Angel's gaze.

Bel nodded. "This place can be pretty dangerous to witches, too," he said. "No sense taking the risk if you don't have to."

"Piper's thing give you nightmares?"

"Yeah," he admitted. "And I couldn't leave my room for a few days for fear of running into someone I'd wronged. It was a blessing to be five and not feel it anymore."

"There is that," Kiki nodded soberly. "Phoebe and I never did find out how the attacks on us were linked... I know you will, and it's stupid of me to ask this, but stand by her, ok? You are made for each other, after all!"

"It happens," Angel said, with understanding. "But it's good. It's good for us to feel these things and know what we've done. Keeps us from doing it again."

"When I heard my victims I heard you, too," Bel said softly. "Because of everything I did trying to bring Angelus back."

"Huh," Angel said. "That's a new twist."

"What, you being the victim?" Bel asked.

"I don't have any plans to go anywhere," Bel said solemnly. "We're both staying at the school for the summer and for next year. After that, who knows."

"Yeah," Angel said. "I'm still here. We're good."

"Then at least I'll know where to find you!" Kiki grinned. "For next year, anyway. Make sure you keep in touch - if you don't let me know where you guys go or where you end up, I'll locator spell the tar out of both of you, k? Ok, so that didn't exactly make sense, but you know what I mean."

Bel nodded. "Cool," he said gratefully. "I guess I'd just never stopped to think about the things I did to you and everyone around you, and on top of everything else I'd done in my life -- it just hit me hard."

Angel reached over to grasp him on the shoulder. "It's okay. I forgive you."

Bel finally really looked at Angel. "You don't know how important it is to me to hear you say that," he said.

"We will if we can," Bel said. "But...well, right now apparently the Underworld thinks I'm dead, so I'm safe, but if they find out I'm alive, we may have to go on the run."
