Assistants' Lounge, Tuesday, May 2

Bel finally came out of hiding to do some studying away from rambunctious kittens. Due to the mysterious disappearances of almost all his teachers (which he had nothing to do with, of course), he only had one final remaining: Celtic Studies. Even though he had an in with the TA, he decided to spend the day studying anyway.

"Then I'm glad I did," Angel said.

Bel managed a small laugh. "Never would've guessed at the beginning of the school year I'd be ending it like this," he said. "From wanting to prove myself as an evil to be reckoned with to wanting to atone for my past. Who would've guessed? I'm not the demon I used to be."

"Yeah, I've been a horrible influence on you," Angel said. "Have you started flossing yet?"

"I understand," Kiki nodded. "But at least you should have a little bit of a respite from them.

"Um - about your mother... would the Underworld investigate when she doesn't, um, show up again?"

"I don't have to worry about the state of my teeth as much as you do," Bel snickered.

"They know she's dead," Bel said. "Veronica and I found that out recently. But they think I died with her. So I'm off their radar for awhile."

"It sets a tone," Angel said. "Brushing, brushing's good too."

"If you don't mind my saying so, I think that's all very good news," Kiki replied. "In the 'I'm sorry your Mum framed you, kidnapped your girlfriend and tried to kill you' sort of way, that is."

"Yes, sir, anything else, sir?" Bel said, grinning.

"You could get me that cup of coffee," Angel said, pointing to the coffee machine.

"How do you like it?"

"Black," Angel said. He heaved a mock-sigh. "Man, I gotta tell you everything."

"That was going to be my first guess, but I figured that would make you too predictable," Bel said, getting up and pouring two cups of coffee, both black.

Angel looked down at his black on black outfit. "Yeah, hate to do that."

Bel managed a half-smile. "She was never much of a mother to me," he said. "Can't say I'm sorry to see her go."

Bel handed a cup of coffee to Angel. "Did you overdose on sweets over the weekend like the rest of us?" he asked.

"Nah," Angel said. "Got my pig's blood from a juice carton. Parker tried to kill me with a marshmellow. That's about it."

"I think I ate a hundred pounds or so of gummy bears," Bel said. "The ones I didn't throw at Veronica, that is."

"Just carrying those around on the odd chance a blonde you didn't like happened by?" Angel asked.

Kiki shook her head. "You make me awfully thankful for my mother," Kiki answered.

"Got them at the movie theater," Bel said. "And Veronica was sitting in front of me. It was gummy bears or pull the pigtails."

"Pigtail pulling is if you like them," Angel said.

Bel made a face. "I've been getting along with Veronica, but not like that," he said.

[ooc: I flee home like a fleeing thing that flees.]

"This is what I'm saying," Angel replied. "You don't like her, ergo pigtail pulling was not one of your options."

[ooc: np!]

"So what are gummy-bear-throwing and fireball-throwing supposed to mean?" Bel asked.
