Still more with cleaning

Angel was up early.

That was so wrong on so many levels.

But he'd promised Krycek to help finish cleaning the Assistants Lounge, and sadly doing that was more fun than contemplating dealing with Parker's forced death march to Student Council.

Angel stood in the doorway to the lounge and pondered what he wanted to attack first.

Sean nosed around. It was possible that he sniffed around the door of one cabinet in particular more often than he did the others, but Sean was a puppy and puppies did weird things sometimes.

"In this school there's probably at least a dozen different places no one's seen yet," Krycek said, going over to the coffee machine he purloined yesterday. "Especially as it's pretty out of the way."

"She actually opened the fridge?" Krycek made a face. "That was probably not high on the list of good ideas."

"I was thinking puppets," Angel replied. He quirked his eyebrows as he heard Bel's message, but otherwise was mysteriously stoic for a guy who'd just been joking around. "Got a date?"

"Me, making fun of you?" She giggled, then tried to make heads or tails of the directions. "Would I do that?"

"Nothing you need to worry about. Just dealing with a few technicalities," Bel said cheerfully. "Looking after my own interests like you seem to want me to."

"Bel?" Krycek frowned slightly, not familiar with the name. "...Does setting fire to a piece of furniture in a badly ventilated room in the middle of a school seem like maybe not the best of ideas? Not that I'm stopping you, just wondering if there's something I'm missing."

"There's no underage drinking at this school," said Janet, completely deadpan. "I can't imagine that anyone would think we were anything but rule-abiding students, especially in that regard. Gosh, aren't fraternities valuable vehicles for getting to know others in a positive, healthy way?"

"I'd heard a rumor the Home Ec teacher was leaving," said Janet, absolutely certain this idea was going to lead to entirely too much fun trouble. "There's Professor Cregg, I haven't met the new psych teacher at all and likely never will, omg, Ms. Gilmore-Danes, and--" She's sure as hell not going to bring up Eighth. "Who else?"

"Why can't you stick Logan with it instead? He's a senior, right?" asked Janet. "Maybe we'll get a transfer student in next semester who'll think it'll look great on a college application. Also, aren't you nocturnal? Wait until everyone's asleep and go tear down your campaign posters."

"Any chance you can," said Janet. She watched Sam staring at the instructions. "Come on, don't tell me you're stymied by one set of shelves from IKEA. You're the Shop TA."

"The instructions're in Swedish," Sam frowned, then prepared to wing it. She rolled her eyes and was thankful they were in semi-public, where Janet couldn't tease her about the PhD.

"Email is easier," Angela says, thinking. "And I guess someone needs to ask Principal Smith for the permission? Maybe Zero can do that -- I don't know Jarod's last name or anything."

"You want to send a message out, or should I?"

"I don't know Jarod at all," John admits. "But, if he's Parker's friend then he deserves to come."

"Well, since I've gotta send a separate email out about something else, you mind doing it?"

"Nice coffee machine," John says, nodding. "Has this been here the whole time? Like through last semester? Just sitting here, gathering dust?"

"Belthazor," Angel said, pointing at the half-demon. "And... yeah, sure okay. If you want to be technical."

A thought occured to him.

"What if we hauled it outside tonight and had a bonfire?"

"Total, absolute, wholesome male bonding kind of way," Angel confirmed. He thought about it. "Isn't one of the new admins supposed to be a girl?"

"Logan's less into politics than I am," Angel said. "New student sounds like a good idea. Especially since they haven't been here long enough to know how much the job sucks."

"No, I stole it from the Journalism classroom," Krycek said, turning it on. "Since Jerusalem's gone and there's more than one anyway, I figured no one would notice. Except Jake, but he'll live with one less machine."

Bel froze for a moment, then realized Angel must've overheard the message. "Can't blame me for wanting to make sure you're not technically my guardian any more, can you?" he said. "Going to be hard enough explaining things if Raynor asks about you and how my training is going."

"Yep," Angel confirmed. "Apparently they hid it from us all last semester."

"Hey, if you want a little discipline I'm sure we can arrange that," Angel said because apparently today's the day to set a record for using this icon

"I doubt we have the same type of activities in mind," Bel said not totally setting himself up with that line.

*grinning* Another example of their cruelty. Although, they may have been doing it as a kindness.

"He works at Caritas. I've talked to him, like, twice," Angela says, shrugging. "And sure, I can handle the email and talking to Zero."

Curiosity getting the better of her, she asks, "What else are you planning?"
