Still more with cleaning

Angel was up early.

That was so wrong on so many levels.

But he'd promised Krycek to help finish cleaning the Assistants Lounge, and sadly doing that was more fun than contemplating dealing with Parker's forced death march to Student Council.

Angel stood in the doorway to the lounge and pondered what he wanted to attack first.

Sean nosed around. It was possible that he sniffed around the door of one cabinet in particular more often than he did the others, but Sean was a puppy and puppies did weird things sometimes.

Angel caught Sam's look. "No. Not romantic. Freaky and coppery and... Oh hell." He covered his face with his hand.

"I loved the music class I took," John tells her, smiling. "It was...different. And we actually listened to cool music, not just that classical stuff that's good but can get very boring after awhile. And there was a scavenger hunt!"

"John's idea," Angel said, proudly.

"Hey, Callisto," said Janet. She uncovered a bottle of bleach and an unopened package of sponges. "How's it going?"

"Good point," John says. "Still not ready to give up sleeping in though but it'll be cool to get back to classes."

"Right, right," Angel nodded. He coughed. "My ID's not fake, just sayin'"

"Want some surgical gloves?" asked Janet. "I refuse to touch anything in this room with my bare skin. It's disgusting."

Angel pondered it. "Guess it would depend on what was in the pie. Though on the upside Fluffypants would probably help if she got involved like that."

Sam laughed. "In case you're trying to keep things secret, let me just tell you that that's probably not the best way to do it." It was kind of sweet, though.

Angel took in the stickers and alcohol wipes. Utterly deadpan, he said, "Janet, what you do in your private life is between you and your significant others."

"Do you want the short, the not-so-short, or the long-version?"

John eyes him for a moment. "Look, old man, just because you're ancient," and he lets that trail off into a laugh.

"Still, fake ID or not, drinking on campus for a club activity might not look too good especially to new students that might be thinking of joining. So...possibly someone with off campus housing? We know of any professors like that?"

"Not so good, actually," Callisto frowned. "Janet, if I asked you to do something for me, would you?"

"Not that I know of, but around here, that doesn't mean much." Jake tilted his head to look at the bottom of a shelf.

Angel might have started smiling too.

"Um. Somewhere nice. Where I dress nice. But you don't have to. Not that you don't. Dress nice. It's just I'm supposed to and you don't have to and I don't exactly know where that would be in town 'cause I don't exactly eat out all the time anyway but where ever that is I'd like to take you there. Soon. Or not. If you want."

It was a good thing he didn't need to breathe, because if he did he would've probably passed out after attempting to say all of that in a rush.

"It was perfectly innocent!" Angel said. He pointed to the sprinkler heads in the ceiling. "We were trying to find out if those were just decorative. By the way, answer's yes."

"Yeah? I went shopping with the girls on the Isle of IKEA yesterday," Jake explained. "So I wasn't here. I bought vases though."

"I'm not old!" Angel protested. He then grimaced. "Well - I don't look old."

He thought about it. "Hum. Um... again Prof. Ash would've come in handy. What about any of the new faculty? Any of them living off campus?"

Sam smirked a bit at the vampire who didst protest too much, then looked up at the ceiling. "Yeah, we should probably see about fixing those, once we're sure we're done burning stuff. Fire codes and all that."
