Assistants Lounge -- Friday, February 10

With only one class on Friday, Bel opened up the Assistants Lounge and settled in for a relaxing day of reading up on Japanese weddings.

"Getting better," Cameron replied as apparently they were being polite. "You?"

"Working on some sociology homework," Bel said. He grinned a little goofily. "And thinking about Valentine's Day."

"Yeah, if he's the same one who did that, I'll deal with him," Cole promised. He reached out his arms toward Phoebe.

Relaxing a bit more, Cameron put his books down on the table and took a seat. "Got any plans?"

Phoebe looked torn for a moment and then she moved to hug him. Someone was trying to hurt her and Cole was wanting to help. She was silent for a moment. "I need to warn Kiki and lana about this, and let Kiki know that Crowley really doesn't want us to try to open..."

"I'm thinking flowers and a necklace," Bel said. "And some of that girly bath stuff. She likes those kind of things. How about you and your girl?"

After studio time, Isabel stopped by the lounge to see who was around. She smiled tentatively at Belthazor. "Hi. What are you doing?"

Remembering Lana's words about Phoebe and Kiki being up to something, Cole leaned his head back and looked down and asked, "Try to open what?"

Cameron grimaced. "I'm still broke from Christmas and haven't been able to show up for work much. I think I'm going to have to keep things simple. I had some ideas, but they're pretty impossible on this island."

Damn it. "Don't worry, Crowley already forbid us from doing it," she said sourly. "Kiki and I were going to try to open a bridge toanother realm to figure out why she and I were attacked and why we seem to attract the interest of things like that?"

Bel left off his daydreaming. "Just thinking about Valentine's Day," he said. "And some sociology homework. How you doing?"

Bel chuckled a little. "Yeah, this place is pretty small," he agreed. "I'm hoping there's a costume shop tucked away somewhere, or else I may have to ask for a pass to shimmer to Japan to get some kimonos for my sociology assignment."

For once he agreed with Crowley. "Phoebe, don't do things like that without talking to me first," he insisted. "You're my girlfriend and I don't want you hiding stuff like that from me."

"I'm doing okay. Studio time was as interesting as usual ~~even though class hasn't been posted yet~~." Then she grinned, "Big plans for Valentine's Day?"

Uh oh.

She placed a hand on his chest and pulled back to look at him.

"Cole... I thought we agreed that we had some things we needed to work on before we could be back together?"

"You can teleport that far?" Cameron asked in surprise. "I don't suppose you can just order them online?"

"This is my first," he admitted. "I got through Christmas okay so hopefully I can manage this." He looked at Isabel curiously. "What kind of smells do you like? You know, for bath stuff?"

"I can go between dimensions and everything," Bel said casually. "I'd order them and skip the hassle of a pass, but we need to do this Tuesday and I don't know if we could get them in time."

He frowned. "I thought the other night meant that we were back, we just had to work stuff out, too?"

"I'm partial to berry scents myself, particularly raspberry." She sat down on the arm of the couch. "But it depends on what you're planning. I mean, are you planning on sharing the bath?" She might have blushed as she said that, "If so, then go for one of the more exotic scents, like jasmine or ylang-ylang."

Okay, now she had tears in her eyes. He didn't get it.

"Cole, I love you more than anything and you and everyone in this school knows it. But just because I want to be with you, doesn't mean that we can just because we're talking and trying to work things out between us." She lay her hand against his face. "I love you so much, and I miss you so much that it hurts, but even you have to admit that we have miles of things that we have to work through."

"Yeah, if you want the real thing." Cameron frowned. "Should I ask what you need them for or don't I want to know?"

Angela is too caught up in her own head to notice who else is in the lounge until she's already flopped into a chair and leaned her head back, eyes closed, a dreamy expression on her face.

"We have to do wedding ceremony recreations for Sociology of Sex Cultures," Bel explained. "Me and Allie Cameron are paired together to do a Japanese ceremony." He showed Cam a picture of the outfit he wanted to wear. "Pretty cool, huh?"

"You look happy," Bel remarked, looking up from his Japanese wedding handouts.
