Parker wanders in, hopeful that the place will be deserted so she can hang out and maybe, possibly, the lounge will give her cookies. Blair's there, though, so she decides it's unlikely. "Hey, Sandburg."

Blair looked up from the computer and then slammed it shut quickly. "Uh, Hi Parker!"

Parker arched an eyebrow at him, curious and entertained. "Hi. Whatcha doin'?" she sing-songed.

Blair tugged his laptop closer and smiled very, very brightly. "Nothing?"

"With your laptop? Just... communing with it? Meditating on it? Using it as a focus point?"

Blair looked down at the laptop and back up at Parker. "Just doing research. Plain old boring research." He voice rose to a squeak. "Nothing bad!"

The tune and words to the Internet is for porn! go through Parker's head, and her smile widens. "On? What esoteric subject are you looking up today, Sandburg? Thrill me."

Blair bit his lip and decided to be academic about it. "Relational connections between homosapiens."

Parker coughed, because the Rory in her head abruptly said Dirty! "Really. Find anything interesting?" She perched on the chair across from him and crossed her ankles, settling in for a nice long conversation.

Blair opened his laptop and stared at the screen for a minute before peeking over the top at Parker. "Have you heard about Dr. Phil?"

Immensely disappointed, Parker said, "Yes. Relationship guru, big on personal responsibility. That's what you're reading?" She sighs and puts her chin on her fist. "Is it at least enlightening?"

Blair squeaked and nodded. "Um...yes, that's what I'm reading. Dr. Phil stuff! Very knowledgable guy. Nothing dirty or anything!"

Parker's smile returns with a vengeance. "Ohhh. So. What do you think about his stance on communicating about your partner's... needs?"

If Parker had been a sentinel she would have been able to understand the very high pitched squeak that Blair emitted and would have understood him to have said "Needs? Yes people have needs and talking about them is good."

As it was, non-sentinels would only hear some faint squeaking noises.

God, tormenting Sandburg was almost as much fun as yelling at Broots used to be. "Personally, I think he's wrong. I believe there's more spontaneity if you find out as you go along. So to speak." She gave Blair an inquiring look. "As I'm sure you're figuring out."

Yep, goin' to the Special Hell. On a waterslide!

Blair frowned. "Nadia kissed me last night and then told me we couldn't date because I was dating other people too and then she kissed me again. What is that all about." Hey, if Parker wanted to talk, he might as well get some advice out of her. He might even ask her what that 'girls with gloves' site was all about.

Then again, maybe not.

"Oh, boy." Parker had to palm her face at this, and sighed. "It means she likes you, but she doesn't want to get hurt. And you dating other people confuses her. I'm guessing."

Bah, advice. Where was the torment there?

Blair nodded slowly. "Jaye was just for research but I like Molly and Nadia and I'm just not sure what to do."

"It's weird, you know. Naomi lived with tons of different guys and dated more than one all the time. We even lived in this commune once that was way out there with the 'free love'. I never realized you could only date one girl at a time."

"And many guys never do." Parker shakes her head, smirking a little. "But, haven't you only been out on a couple dates with each of them? It's probably too soon to know if you like one of them alone, enough to date just one girl yet, anyway." She cocked her head. "Free love, hunh."

"Well, I've actually only been on one date with Molly and two dates with Nadia. But Nadia said she wants a guy to be hers." Blair sighed.

"I spent a ton of money on dates and gifts and chocolate and dinner last night and now I'm not really dating anybody and I don't have a date to the dance." He pulled a tissue wrapped gift (http://www.laurasecord.ca/en/images/valentine/image12.jpg) from his bag. "By the way, I forgot to give this to you yesterday. Happy Valentines day."

Parker's eyebrows shot up, and then she smiled in bemusement as she unwrapped the candy. The chocolate bear went right into her mouth with an mmmm. "Thanks. That's-- sweet of you, Sandburg." She shook her head. "Give it some time. And look up the differences in attitudes about dating between women and men. It'll probably explain a lot. And you won't be the only one at the dance without a date, you know."

"You're welcome." Blair smiled as he watched her eat. "Okay, I can do that. I'm good at research!"

"Do you not have a date either, Paker?"

Parker made a so-so gesture in the air in front of her, indicating maybe, then took the candy out of her mouth to speak. "Jack Harkness and I sometimes go to these things, but sometimes he wants to do other stuff. I haven't checked with him yet, so I don't actually know."

"Well, I hope you have fun either way." Blair debated for a moment and then turned the computer around to face Parker. He pointed at the garish pink colors that proclaimed 'GIRLS WITH GLOVES! 19.95! FREE PREVIEW! COTTON! SILK! WOOL!'

"I don't really get this, do you?"

Torment!

"Yes." She grinned.

Blair leaned up and looked at the screen and looked at Parker and then looked back at the screen. "Can you explain it to me?"

"That's all they're wearing. Some people really, really like gloves." Her smile widened. "And possibly, they're doing more than wearing them."

Blair slowly closed the laptop and tried to remember whether or not breathing was a good idea. "Like gardening, right? People wear gloves for gardening!"

And this is why they call glee unholy, ladies and gentlemen. "They do. Also, to keep themselves warm. I suspect those girls are being more creative, though. Especially with the silk. And the satin. And the lace."

Wheeeee!

"Lace would be nice for a tea party. Maybe they're british? And silk would be good for...for..." Blair trailed off.

"Other stuff." If he can't say 'sex', Parker's not going to break his brain quite that much. Have to save some gray matter for messing with later. "Which is why they're asking for $19.95 to view it. Frankly, I don't know what the wool is about, but hey. Whatever works."

"Okay. Good to know. Sites that are asking for money are not good sites." He adopted a puppy dog expression. "Not even the one saying they needed young smart guys who wear glasses?"

Parker chokes, stares, glares, then says, "Most emphatically not."

"Alright, I'll just delete that email then."

"Good call." Parker grins, and gets to her feet, popping the candy back in her mouth with a roll of her eyes. "Take it easy, Sandburg. You'll figure it out eventually. Most people do."

Blair pulled the laptop back towards him and started shutting down windows. "Thanks for talking to me about...stuff." Darnit, still with the squeaky voice. "I really appreciate it."

"Sure. Any time." Yup. Speeeecial Hell. "See ya!"
