TA Lounge - Tuesday, 21 Febtober

Kiki unlocks the assistant's lounge and brews up some tea. And, just because she knows someone will want it, she turns on the coffee maker, hazarding her best guess at how to set the thing up. It might be coffee, it might be sludge-water. She wouldn't know!

Kiki is curled on the couch, sipping her tea and studying a book.

Kiki's still studying. She's managed to procure a bagel from somewhere.

Vala drops in between first and third periods. She really doesn't feel like going back to the room.

Besides, it's as good a place as any to do her ACJ homework, right?

Kiki looks up and gives Vala a smile and a wave, her other hand marking her place in the book.

Study, study, study.

John sneaks in to steal some breakfast before class.

Kiki, her bottom lip caught in her teeth, is intent on her book, and doesn't notice the door opening.

John, with l33t ninja skills born from being The Chosen One, doesn't make any noise.

Until he knocks over the loudest metal coffee can on earth.

Kiki jumps a mile and drops her book, losing her place. With a small sigh of annoyance, she picks her book up off the floor and flips through several pages of complicated-looking diagrams and bizarre magical equations until she finds her page again.

"You might want to beware of the coffee I made," she cautions, looking over at John. "I suspect it's pretty bad."

John dumps coffee grounds into a cup and adds hot water. "S'okay, I'll just make my own." He swirls it around and takes a sip. "Mmm, crunchy."

He peers over at her. "WHatcha doin?"

"Working on some spells," Kiki answers. "Some pretty standard divination stuff."

"Divination? You're turning all 'American Idol' now?"

John may or may not be joking that Kiki is looking up Diva spells.

"....what?" Kiki asks, bewildered.

"Spells to turn you into a Diva?" Stonefaced, not even a hint of smile. Hey! I SAID NO SMILE, MOUTH!

"Into...a Diva...?" Kiki repeats, still bewildered. "Er, no, it's for learning about things remotely. Like what I did with the seance, just less complicated."

She didn't bring that up on purpose. At all. Just in passing. She smiles a little. "And less dangerous. I think."

"Just as long as you don't start demanding bowls of M&Ms with all the brown ones removed, 's all good."

"I don't think that's likely," Kiki answers, looking back at her book and jotting down a few more notes.

The book has been put aside, and Kiki is writing on something that may or may not look very similar to a book of Sudoku puzzles.

Kiki went to lunch and is now at Professor Chaucer's office hours. There's still lukewarm coffee for any fearless young TA who might want it.

Kiki is back and studying again. She keeps eyeing the Sudoku puzzles, though.

Kiki is gone again, out buying donuts and coffee for Professor Chaucer's class.

Door is locked.

Kiki is in class, so the door is still locked.
