TA Lounge: Monday.

Kiki unlocks the lounge and sets water on for tea. She sits studying a book of complicated-looking magical equations and diagrams.

"Paige, hi!" Kiki waves as her fellow witch comes in. "How's it going?"

"Not too bad I guess," she replies holding out the bag of muffins for her, "want one?"

"Bless you forever," Kiki says gratefully, taking one. "This is absolutely what I needed!"

Paige smiles slightly and pulls one out herself, "I thought Geoff might appreciate them, to help soften the blow." She shrugs, "not that I expect him to care that much, I expect all this is gonna harder for me than him, but still." she takes a deep breath, "I'm gonna go tell him I'm not leaving with him anymore."

Kiki sits a little stunned and silent for a moment. "I...I knew you had been considering it," she says at last, "but I hadn't realized you'd actually made plans to really leave!"

Poor Geoff, Kiki thinks sadly. It's like one more person leaving him...

"I hope that," Kiki says awkwardly, "that it works out okay."

She shrugged, "I've just been a little bit...unneeded I guess, except by Geoff, even though I know that was probably in my head, and with all the stuff happening with James I figured me leaving for a while would be the best thing. But I've been hanging out with my sisters a bit more and well I know Geoff doesn't really need me with him."

"I'm sure we'll both be fine, I mean I have my sisters and he's going back to his own time, where he knows people." she said, okay she didn't actually believe it on her part, but that didn't really matter did it

"I'm still going to miss him. A lot," Kiki replies softly. "I hope he's happier, wherever he ends up going."

Paige frowns, "yeah me too, but he has to do what best for him doesn't he? And you know I'm sure he will be happier back in his own world, he's a really strong man, I'm sure he'll be fine." she says tring to reassure her.

"True," Kiki answers. "I can't say that I don't empathize. I know how it sad it can be, feeling like you're being left behind, or that everyone is leaving you."

"Yeah I lot of people seem to have left recently, I still miss Michael and Dr House and know with Geoff leaving too, it's just all a bit much really you know? Still at least I still have a few friends left here." she replies sadly

Kiki is silent a moment, thinking of Aziraphale and Wilson. Michael, Ben, Chihaya, Harry, Chiana, Loz, Kadaj and Yazoo, Tara - and now Professor Chaucer.

"I know." Kiki added sadly, "Thankfully, I still have you, Phoebe, Lana and Mr. Crowley. At least there's you all still here."

Paige smiles at Kiki then, "you know we should hang out more, I had some kind of fun at Caritas the other night, well apart from all the crying and stuff."

Kiki smiles a little. "I did, too. It felt kinda good to get out some of my frustration about John." She shrugs. "Huh, boys. They never know a good thing when they see one."

"yeah I bunch of idiots the lot of them, although, surely by the law of averages at least one has to be nice, other that one would be taken wouldn't it?"

She frowns, "Maybe we'll get lucky with the new students next year huh?" and no she didn't mean that the way it came out.

Kiki giggles. "Maybe," she concedes. Truth be told, she hasn't thought that far ahead. She's having enough in her hands just trying to keep up with the here and now. "Or it just means that us women are never satisfied!"

Paige shakes her head, "nah, it's definitely that men suck." she says with a grin.

"Personally, I agree," Kiki laughs.

"As you should!" she replies then takes a deep breath, "well I'd better go get this over with, wish me luck!"

"Good luck," Kiki says with soft sincerity. "Let me know if...if it goes really badly, okay?"

Paige smiles at Kiki, "yeah Ill come straight back here if it does, but hopefully it'll be okay. I mean I'm sure Geoff'll know what to say, he usually does."

"Thanks a lot Kiki, I'll catch you later okay?"

Kiki gives Paige a bolstering smile. "Certainly! See you later."
