Up early that morning and unable to fall back asleep, Bel wandered down to the Assistants' Lounge and opened it up for the day.

Bel stood up quickly. "Yes, yes, I'm fine, really," he insisted. "Wow, look at the time, I should be getting to Sociology."

Crouching down beside Sean, Bel scritched his head, distracting himself by giving the puppy some attention. "Hey little guy," he said. "Ready to go home?"

Sean, who had been spending that time fruitlessly pawing at the cabinet, turned his attention to Bel and gave a happy little bark.

Bel stood back up and gathered his Sociology notes, holding them in front of him as he turned back to Angel. "Good talking to you. I'll catch you later."

"Same here," Angel said. He got Sean's leash out of his coat pocket and whistled for the dog to come over.
