"If it had been me that had been hit that hard, you wouldn't let me avoid the clinic or be out of bed yet." She came over to him and looked him over. "Too bad I can't heal you."

"What can I say, I like your TLC better than the clinic," Cole said, grinning. "Besides, I'm fine, really. I'm tough, I can take a lot."

Phoebe hugged him for a second.

"I guess... I just don't want to lose you, sweetheart, so I worry when you get hurt."

He didn't wince when she hugged him. "I'm fine, love," he insisted. "Gonna take a lot more than that guy to take me down."

Phoebe was careful not to squeeze him.

"You could ask Paige to heal you..."

"She can't heal demons, sweetheart," Cole pointed out.

"Yeah, so the most she could do is half-heal me," Cole said.

"Men are not known for making sense," she said, biting the inside of her cheek to try not to giggle.
