Cole made a face. "Yeah, chasing 'monsters' through the sewers can't be good for your health," he said. "Neither is getting punched by that tall guy, whoever he was." He stretched, testing his ribs, and winced.
"If it had been me that had been hit that hard, you wouldn't let me avoid the clinic or be out of bed yet." She came over to him and looked him over. "Too bad I can't heal you."
