Assistant's Lounge, Wednesday, Sept 13

After Campaigning Isabel took a walk over to the TA lounge. She unlocked the door, stepped into the room, and sneezed. It was pretty obvious that nobody had been in here since the end of May. With a sigh, Isabel rooted around through the cabinets until she found cleaning supplies and then started to clean.

[ooc2: The TA lounge is a place for TAs to hang out. The lounge has all the important things TAs would need. Namely comfy couches, a coffeepot and a small fridge. First things first. Isabel cleaned the coffee pot. If she ever found out who used it last and didn't clean it? She's have to kill them.

After ~~handwave~~ getting her key from Krycek, Pippi decided to check out the TA Lounge.

"Oh! Hi!"

"Hey Pippi!" Isabel said as she fearfully eyed what had become of the coffee grounds. "You're a TA this semester?"

"Yup, I'm Doctor Wilson's TA for Humor In Medicine." She looked around the room.

"Wow... This is um..."

"That sounds like a fun class. Especially the field trip." She followed Pippi's gaze around the room. "Yeah, it looks pretty bad right now. But it really is a nice place to hang out once the grim is gone."

"We should get Walter in here." Pippi grinned, rolling up her sleeves. "Well, I don't have anything to do until this afternoon. How can I help?"

"Is he TAing? I've lost track of what everyone is doing." Isabel shrugged, "There's so much to do? Pick a spot. Just promise to save me if I'm attacked by the coffee grounds."

"So how's your semester going?"

Pippi started cleaning out the sink and the various coffee mugs therein.

"Classes are going good. How about you?"

"I'm slowly finding my rhythm. Now I just need to put names to all of the new faces." She emptied the grounds into a trashcan that was equally scary and stepped back quickly. "Are you going to run for StuCo again?"

"Yeah, I was thinking I would. It was so much fun last year. How about you?"

"It was a lot of fun. Peter and I are both going to do it," she said. "Hopefully our classmates will remember that we did a good job and elect us again."

"I'm sure they will. We pretty much rocked their shoes." Pippi nodded. "Oh however that saying goes."

"Knocked the socks off their feet maybe?" she offered. "If not? At least it rhymes."

"Maybe... Either way, we did a really good job."

"Damn straight," Isabel agreed. "I just don't know that I'm up to running all those game nights again. Although we might need to run RISK again, just to give Aeryn another chance at China."

"Maybe we should rotate who runs them." Pippi mused. "Like we did with the coffee shop thingy. Or maybe we should do something different each week... Like games one night, and movies another... And... Decorating cookies or something."

"Personally I'd say stick to once, maybe twice a month," Isabel said as she moved on to cleaning the coffee pot. It didn't look like scrubbing was going to do much to the dried sludge at the bottom of the pot. Using her powers, she broke it down into dust. "There's enough insanity around here on a regular basis without us contributing to it weekly. Although cookie decorating could be fun. Or we could think bigger. Maybe gingerbread houses for the holidays?"

"Yeah, I think every other week or something would be better." she nodded. "Oooh! Maybe a gingerbread house contest?"

"That could be fun. I'd love to see how creative people could be."

"Oh yes!" Pippi nodded emphatically. "But only if they elect us!"

Isabel grinned, "It's a good campaign slogan. Be creative, elect us!"

"I've only had two Political Campaigning classes so far, but I think I can say that threatening the voters is not supposed to be a viable campaign strategy," she said, shaking her head. "Then again, you did get elected. Go figure."

"I did... Though that might be because I teamed up with Pip... Since our names are similar all voters had to do is put a check next to any name starting with the letters 'Pi' and then they were most of the way done!"

"Peter and I are going to do the running mates thing again. It worked well the last time. Of course this means I'd better get myself in gear and start working on some posters," Isabel grinned. "Time to break out the glitter."

"Ooh, good point!"

"Of course, it's not an election without posters and glitter. And we're running out of time."

The coffee's brewing and Isabel is dusting.

She's found a vacuum from somewhere, and is attempting to move the couches to vacuum under them.

She's ordered from Ching Tai, there's more then enough to share.

Back to cleaning. Now she's washing windows

Isabel sorted through the stack of magazines that had been left in the lounge. They were all three months out of date, if not older.

Finally satisfied, Isabel stretched out on the couch and closed her eyes.

Cause I'm too OCD not to have it.
