TA Lounge, Thursday 14th Sept

Now Mac has her TA lounge keys, she's going to make the most of it. Jake told her way back when she first arrived that the coffee there was the best in the school. She's just testing out that theory.

She has her laptop playing music at her, lots of coffee, pens, and a large stack of paper to keep her occupied.

[ooc: OCD a' comin. Open for all TA lounge-ing, or Mac poking needs. All is good for I am bored.]

Mac dug around in her bag which was totally there the whole time. "I brought a whole load down for lunch. Made 'em myself a couple of days ago." She grinned proudly, "Want some?"

She held out the box, and continued, "I'm TA-ing for Professor Abby's internet class."

Jack helped himself to a cookie. "I can't remember the last time I had home made cookies." He bit into one and smiled blisfully. "Gorgeous. Thank you," he said when he finished. "Are you enjoying it?"

Mac grinned, "Cookies are one of those things I actually like making. I bake them a lot."

"It's been pretty good so far, and Professor Abby's awesome. Yesterday's class was... a little unnerving," yeah, she'd be having nightmares of little yellow men following her for the next week, "but I'm pretty sure it was a one off."

"I may have to start following you around devotedly if you're going to keep baking things that taste this good." Jack munched happily on his cookie, making it disappear in record time -- he never had gotten around to having lunch, and they were very good. "Unnerving?"

"Glad you think so," Mac said, she might have gone a little pink at the complement.

She pulled a face, "Yeah, I think maybe it's something to do with Fandom, and the freaky stuff that goes on here, but I swear the little AOL man is out to get me."

He hid a grin at the tinge of pink. "Do you think you could spare another one? And what's the AOL man?"

Mac held out the box, "Help yourself, there's a whole other tin up in my room. I've been handing them out to people for the last three days."

"The AOL man, is a thing of evil," she declared, taking a cookie for herself. "It's basically this yellow faceless running dude who is like the icon of AOL."

"You are truly, truly wonderful, Mac. Just let me know when it's convenient and I'll be your devoted slave," he proclaimed as he snagged two more cookies. "And that sounds hideous. What's AOL?"

Yeah, she definitely blushed this time. "That's okay."

"Uh, AOL is this internet provider," she said, dragging herself back onto more comfortable topics. "They're to be avoided at all costs."

"Much better than okay," he said as he swallowed a mouthful of cookie. "Okay. Then I only have two questions for you. Are they evil? And are they likely to invade?"

Mac thought back to the class of the day before. "They are definitely evil... and I think they may have plans to take over the world."

"Why am I not surprised," Jack muttered, then smirked. "Think we can bribe them with cookies?"

"I don't think they have faces, or mouths," Mac theorised. "So probably not. Pity really, that would've been a much easier way to deal with them."

"You could have been the saviour of Fandom," Jack laughed. "And then you'd have had everyone following you around. Which would be bad for me, but good for you."

Mac smiled, "So true, although I think the fewer people who follow me around, the better. It'd be a little odd, for me at least."

"I can see that - but it could be useful - you'd always have someone to carry your bags." Jack started in on his second cookie, knowing he was going to have to leave soon. Not that he wanted to. Grinning, he said, "I should reassure you that my offer to follow you around devotedly is not in any way stalkerish."

Mac grinned, possibly a little relieved. "Well, that's good, I'm quite happy to remain stalker free. I will have to think about the bag carrying perk though, that's pretty fun."

"I do reserve the right to look at you sadly whenever I see you though, in an effort to illicit more cookies." Jack grinned to show he wasn't at all serious and finished his cookie. "And I should go - I have class any minute now."

"I'll have to remember you the next time I make baked goods," Mac said. "Well, enjoy class if at all possible, and I guess I'll see you around."

Jack pulled himself off the couch with a groan. "These should not be this comfortable. How do they expect us to get any work done?" He stopped in front of Mac and smiled down at her. "It was truly a pleasure to meet you, Mac. And I'm sure we'll run into each other here, if nowhere else. I hope so anyway."
