Mischief and Mayhem Club, Meeting #1, Monday Night, 11 pm, TA Lounge

Rikku got to the TA lounge early, and set up the masks and cloaks outside of it, with a note above that read

PLEASE TAKE ONE

She got her own mask and cloak in place, in case anyone showed up early. There was a handy stash of rum placed outside to distract any radio squirrels.

Now: to wait.

After putting on her mask, Jo swirled her cloak around dramatically...just for a moment.

That earned a grin and an easy sort of shrug.

"I don't care who knows I'm in on this," he shared. "I'm in it for somethin' to do and a place to stash my brain when the day's through. If it comes down to people rattin' me out, I'm even a big boy and I'll take my lumps however they come, yo. Just means whoever did the rattin' gets shit-kicked by me with-or-without the mask later."

This was exactly the sort of thing that Jess needed for this place to not suck anymore.

"I'm so in," he said.

"Seriously, Red?" Wolfman asked. "You're standing there all badass in the shadows, and you want to be a KITE? Don't get me wrong, they're pretty and all, especially the dragon-shaped ones..."

"Fair enough," she said. "And I'm not the sort to sell someone out in a prank. I'm more concerned 'bout any of this getting back to people who already think I'm doing too much. Totally don't need people nagging on me to slow down."

"You know..." Snapshot said thoughtfully. "I like the way you think."

Jo smirked as she replied "I'm in."

She'd been far too bored after all.

"Your secret's safe with me if mine's safe with you." He looked up at the ceiling for a moment, in thought, and then back over at Princess Butterfly, there. "There's this chick I owe a birthday drink to. But shit came up and I didn't get the chance. You see her, you let her know there's a redhead still owes her a birthday present, yo."

"I don't know," Jess said honestly. "I've never done something like this before."

She fumbled around for a code name. She had preferences, of course but they all seemed so OBVIOUSLY her. She started to raise her hand, but stopped it halfway and curled it into a claw. She hoped it was sufficiently sinister.

"...Uhm. All I can think of are ones that are too easy to guess. Or, maybe 'Red Demon'? Because of the mask. Does anyone have any good suggestions?"

"Bird," Red Kite corrected, a smirk pulling at his lips. "A hunter. Swoops down outta nowhere and grabs its unsuspectin' prey, squirmin' and screamin', offa the ground and holds it in a nasty set of talons before rippin' it apart with a beak shaped like a meat hook."

A chuckle. And then a shrug.

"A kite."

"Ohhh, THAT kind of kite." Wolfman shrugged. "I knew that."

As long as no one got hurt, it sounded like fun. "I'm in," Tony said.

Oh, well played.

"I'll pass it on," she promised. "Though I might already know that the girl you're talking 'bout will be out drinking tomorrow night, so if you see the redhead can you pass it on? I've never seen that girl turn down company. And if he can't make it, well, the chick isn't the sort to forget, so I'm sure she'll just track him down another day."

"I don't doubt you did."

Red Kite settled back against the wall and shook his head.

Yeah. Yeah, he did doubt it.

"Bowie," Jo said after a moment, thinking of the knife rather than the singer.

"Oooh, I like that idea," Violet chimed in.

"If she's out drinkin' late, he might even catch up with her," he agreed. "He's got previous engagements on Tuesday nights, keep him out late spendin' quality time with the rodents. But maybe he'll swing by after, try an' get that I.O.U. paid off."

Wizardboy. Nope. Not doing that.

"I don't know what to call me," Tony admitted.

"Guess they'll see, yeah?" she grinned. "Who knows?"

"Hmm," John was thoughtful as he considered some options. "Got anything thematic in mind?"

"I think it needs to be more specific than that though, if we want a chance of pulling it off," she offered. "What, considering Fandom, is reasonable to pass off?"

"See, you tell me that, I'm gonna just start callin' you the Rookie," Red Kite stated, crossing his arms over his chest. "Unless you can come up with somethin' better. What kinda junk you like doin' when you're not sittin' in a dark room wearin' a cloak and mask?"

Red Kite grinned and held up a hand. He wasn't sure if giving other club members five was against the rules, but dammit if he cared, anyhow. "Red solidarity, yo. You keep the Red in that name of yours, you got yourself a partner in the fold."

"You are now 'Englebert'," Wolfman intoned officially.
