Rikku got to the TA lounge early, and set up the masks and cloaks outside of it, with a note above that read

PLEASE TAKE ONE

She got her own mask and cloak in place, in case anyone showed up early. There was a handy stash of rum placed outside to distract any radio squirrels.

"I like the idea of starting out small, at first, work our way up to something really big. Maybe pick a specific floor of the dorms at first, y'know? See how we all do with coming together and working skillfully and sneakily to pull something off without getting caught," Violet bounced. "Kind of exciting to think about. I bet we'll get better and better with each idea we come up with, big or small."

"You are now 'Poingo'," Wolfman decreed.

"You are now 'Twinkles'," Wolfman announced dramatically.

"Something you're good at," Mercury suggested. "Something you identify with. Something that sounds flashy and dangerous and fits nicely into radio transmissions, like, 'MERCURY: HEAD TO BASE' or 'BOWIE REPORTING IN.'"

"I had this idea once," Mercury said. "One of the common rooms. Glue all the furniture to the ceiling, and see if you could convince all the people who came in that Fandom had messed up the room's gravity for the day."

"I know! Red is awesome, right?" She followed through on the high five with as big a grin as she could manage and not upset the mask. "Then if no one has a problem with the demon part, can I be 'Red Demon'?"

"You mean, besides just about anything?" That might've been Snapshot snickering there.

"Like ribbons and bows?"

"Sounds... flashy." Red Kite settled back into the shadows, a smile still sitting on his lips. "Flashy's good in this business, yo. Good name, Red Demon. Good name."

"That we can pull off reasonably," Princess Butterfly drawled.

"Unfortunately, that's not an actual plan," Wolfman allowed.

"Now, THAT I could definitely get behind," Wolfman replied. "Not sure that glue would cut it, but we could get some bolts, too. I LIKE it!"

"No, but that's why we're sitting here, right? To discuss and come up with one."

"Not exactly," Jo replied. "More like the explorer."

"That would be awesome," Violet agreed.

"I read things," Jess said, in a tone that suggested he didn't think that was as lame as it sounded.

"Another one of them scholarly sorts?" Red Kite was wondering if the was maybe the only one on the island who didn't bury himself in a novel from time to time. "How 'bout somethin' like Bookworm or the Librarian, then? The brains of the outfit, yo."

Liz selected a mask that she liked and also a cloak. She knew that this was definitely going to be interesting.

Liz figured that doing something like this shouldn't hurt and it would be fun to do something was different, "I'm in," she said.

"Something a little more butch, I think," Tony said.

Red Demon placed her arm across her chest and gave a tight bow. "Why, thank you, Mr. Red Kite."

She was so gonna enjoy this.

Shadowkiller? Too long. Light Bringer? That... didn't seem right.

"Lightning?" he suggested. "No, that sounds like I'm a speedster. Smoke." Something about that sounded right. "I'll be Smoke."

A codename?!? I wasn't even supposed to be here today! Francine wanted to shout. But that would, you know, probably attract attention.

Don't look at me don't notice me I don't even belong here la la la la... "Um... Wallflower," Francine answered in her fakey-Katchoo-gruff voice and a fakey-Ino-attempt at confidence. "Call me Wallflower."
