Still more with cleaning

Angel was up early.

That was so wrong on so many levels.

But he'd promised Krycek to help finish cleaning the Assistants Lounge, and sadly doing that was more fun than contemplating dealing with Parker's forced death march to Student Council.

Angel stood in the doorway to the lounge and pondered what he wanted to attack first.

Sean nosed around. It was possible that he sniffed around the door of one cabinet in particular more often than he did the others, but Sean was a puppy and puppies did weird things sometimes.

Angel thought about it. "If we move the couch... or set it on fire, that wall over there might be good. Plus if we cover it up with a bookshelf then far as I'm concerned we don't have to clean it."

"Martyrdom is overrated," said Janet, grinning back. "Where are the cleaning supplies?" She pulled a pair of surgical gloves out of her backpack and slipped them on. "I'm a little afraid that the bacteria in this room have mutated into something horrible."

Angel rubbed the back of his neck. "Me neither. Um - Prof. Camulus was into poker. Dr. Wilson's laid back enough he might let us get away with stuff. Don't know if they'd be right for the job though."

As if on cue, Sean barked at the cabinet he was sniffing.

"I'm not sure this entire room wasn't created by the grime," Angel said. "If we clean enough of it it might vanish."

"The assistants' lounge is possibly scarier than the library after Zombie Weekend," said Janet. "And I really didn't think that could happen."

She eyed the cabinet Sean was barking at. "What are the odds that something Man Was Not Meant To Know is in that cabinet? And if that's the case, how long before we say 'screw it' and investigate?"

Bright was good. Angel could deal with bright in his direction. He decided to try what Logan had suggested. "So, uh, doyouwannagoouttodinnerwithme?"

Okay, small steps. Logan never specified that Angel needed to be coherent.
