Still more with cleaning

Angel was up early.

That was so wrong on so many levels.

But he'd promised Krycek to help finish cleaning the Assistants Lounge, and sadly doing that was more fun than contemplating dealing with Parker's forced death march to Student Council.

Angel stood in the doorway to the lounge and pondered what he wanted to attack first.

Sean nosed around. It was possible that he sniffed around the door of one cabinet in particular more often than he did the others, but Sean was a puppy and puppies did weird things sometimes.

"Yeah, if this thing involves uh, good natured ribbing," John says, going for the politcally correct way of saying pranks, "then we might wanna find someone a little more open minded and amiable to that kind of thing."

"I was Professor Ted's TA," John tells her. "Loved it. Best class ever."

"Could be a task for I-Club," Angel suggested. He gently nudged Sean away from the cabinet. "Go play over there, boy. I don't want you touching anything that's going to turn you into a gremlin."

"Know any pied pipers?"

"That's good to hear." John shrugs. "It was pretty mild temperature wise here. I slept a lot and did Christmas and relaxed."

"You'd have to put it together outside and then move it in here," said Janet. "This place is in no way close to sanitary." She frowned at the grime, and started rummaging around for bleach and a sponge. "Thank God I don't dress up constantly."

She could really, really use a set of scrubs for this place, though.

"I'm not Cameron," he tells her helpfully.

Sam laughed, recognizing the expression on his face. "You're lucky you didn't set off a nuclear incident, Angel."

Angel nodded. "Exactly. Plus somebody who's not going to nag us into doing actual work for the credit."

"It burned green," Angel said. "Which was kinda romantic, but freaky."

"Yeah." John taps his chin, thinking. "I have no idea. Professor Ted?"

Callisto was too busy scowling to react at first.

"Buh?"

"I was here on Christmas, but I think I slept through most of it," said Janet. "I think everyone needed the break. Last semester was chaotic. Fun, though."

"Ooh! I'd have to work out in the hall? Away from the dust farm?" Sam pulled a swiss army knife out of her pocket.

"I'll just be out here, then," she said, dragging the shelving unit into the hall and sitting down on the floor. She pulled a blade out of the knife and began cutting through the packaging. "Let me know when it's safe to come back in."

Angela nods. "I think we should just leave it in the box until we've done a little more scrubbing." She looks down at herself. "I don't care about these clothes, so I'm good."

Angel coughed and muttered, "Think he'd let us get away with having beer?"

"I know that, but I'm too angry to even look at him, and well..." Callisto gestured helplessly.

"Maybe there was just a lot of copper in whatever you were burning," Sam replied, not necessarily realizing how dorky it was that she knew that piece of information.

"Romantic, huh?" She smiled, then glanced quickly over at Callisto and back to Angel. "Sounds...nice."

"Yes, but evil," said Janet. "Unless you think you can redeem him through the continuous application of alcohol and poker?" She blinked. "Wait, you guys are starting a fraternity? Is this anything like the MFCD?"

John winces. "Dunno. I think it'd depend on where we meet. On campus versus off campus kind of thing."

"Oh, dude, he was our adviser for Deep Thoughts," Angela exclaims. "He's pretty awesome. I'm trying to decide if I should try to take music next semester."

"Doesn't Piper Halliwell like to bake? Would a Piper with pie work?"

She sounds almost serious.

John frowns again. "What happened?"

Angel colored. Nobody warned him that he'd have to repeat himself. He braced himself and tried again.

Janet dug into her backpack again, and came up with some alcohol wipes and biohazard stickers. "Don't ask," she muttered, cleaning off the outside of the drawer with the alcohol wipes, then sticking several large, orange biohazard stickers on it.

"Either this will warn everyone away, or someone else is going to open it without backup," said Janet. "But I see we have the first new item on the I-Club agenda for this semester."
