Assistants' Lounge, Wed afternoon

With free time before Self-Defense, Angel went down to the Assistants' Lounge and made himself comfortable.

Sean was there. He nosed around all the new things, his attention occasionally drawn to a certain cabinet.

Angel was busy drawing. Depending on when someone looked over his shoulder they might notice rough drafts of campaign posters, sketches of a certain blonde he'd gone out with on Sunday, or pictures that were really not appropriate for children to be looking at this last catagory might or might not have overlapped with the pictures of the blonde.

There was a pot of fresh coffee brewing.

"You can, though it's unnecessary," Rory laughed. "Your metaphor was one of my favorites, actually. Nice and lengthy."

"I don't know," Hmmm, she really was going to have to try that sometime. "We were in third-floor common room, which is probably why you missed us."

"Thanks," Angel beamed. "I was trying. I really want to work on the superhero thing once I graduate, you know? Though God I hope I don't actually have to have a name."

"Well yeah, that'll happen. I mean the only person I care about up on that floor is y - why were you, John, and Aeryn - " Angel flailed a hand " - doing that in the third floor common room? Or at all for that matter?"

"Oh it wasn't just John and Aeryn, Rory and Parker were there too," Callisto made note of a particular page. "And gods, it's not like it's against the law or something."

"I think 'Protector of the city' really says it all. And hey, I have a sidekick name. I just don't use it," Rory shrugged.

"Well... no, but do you want the new administration to sic another pageant on us??"

"They'd be far more likely to do that for what happened later with Anakin, Xander and DEATH," Callisto shrugged. "And so far we haven't gotten called up."

"What the hell did Anakin, Xander, and DEATH do? And please god tell me it wasn't with jazz hands. Lie if you have to."

"I suppose Angel's kind of a name too," Angel said. "Descriptive, if a little obvious."

"No, no jazz hands, there were a lot of condoms however." It was entirely possible Callisto had realised Angel thought she was talking about something entirely different to was she actually was.

"Thank god for small favors. I mean DEATH's okay, but who knows where Xander's been?"

"Wee bit," Rory said said wryly. "You don't have any enemies named like, 'Demon,' or anything, do you?"

"I have to admit though, Xander was a lot better at it then I thought he'd be."

"Given all the reading up on the subject he refuses to admit to, he'd better be."

"Bel's half-demon but that's not in his name as far as I know."

"Knew that, and no, I think he just goes by Belthazor and Cole," Rory scowled. "You know, I really don't like him."

"There's books on water condom fights?"

Angel gave a sympathetic sigh. "He does make it difficult. It's hard for him wanting me so bad and never being able to touch to deal with that duality problem. Can't say I don't know where he's coming from."

"Aw man, I knew Harris was kinky but - "

Angel blinked.

"Wait, what?"

"We were helping DEATH make condom animals for a display and explaining oral sex to Aeryn, when Parker decided to start a water condom fight," Callisto explained.

"He was trying to tell me awhile ago how you shouldn't have had been resouled before there was evidence," Rory said, shaking her head. "Is it actually a duality thing with him, like it is with you? Or is he just capable of being good as well as bad?"

There was a long pause.

"Okay, scarily enough I'm following all that. So that's when you found out about John and Aeryn?"

"Dunno," Angel admitted. "He's got as much demon as human working on him. That might be like being a vampire with a soul. I just wish we could get through to him. He loves Phoebe. That means he's got enough human in him that he could try to be good if he just applied himself."
