Assistants' Lounge, Wed afternoon

With free time before Self-Defense, Angel went down to the Assistants' Lounge and made himself comfortable.

Sean was there. He nosed around all the new things, his attention occasionally drawn to a certain cabinet.

Angel was busy drawing. Depending on when someone looked over his shoulder they might notice rough drafts of campaign posters, sketches of a certain blonde he'd gone out with on Sunday, or pictures that were really not appropriate for children to be looking at this last catagory might or might not have overlapped with the pictures of the blonde.

There was a pot of fresh coffee brewing.

[ooc: Shamelessly stealing from Angela's reminder yesterday - The lounge is open for TAs, clinic aides, library staff and invited friends. Only TAs and such have keys, though, and the door is locked when none of them are around. If you're a TA and don't have community membership, request it here.]

"You, what?" Parker turned around, and blinked at the expression on his face. "Okay, did you just get bitten by an invisible gremlin, or is the poster traumatizing you somehow?" She looked back at it. "I thought the photo was pretty good, actually...."

"Zero? I think we broke him." Parker goes over to nudge him, to see if he'll skip over the break in consciousness if prodded. "Wings? Oh, vampire candidate for office? Are you in there?" She frowned, then tried, "Callisto, put your shirt back on!"

Parker blinked. "No, but I'm glad to know I succeeded without trying. What are you on about?" She cocked her head at his sketchbook, now visible. "And wow. Does Callisto know you like her armor that much?"

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-01-11 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Parker started laughing.

"Why can you never ask me to kill you when I really want to?" she finally said. "You're afraid of dancing? Or being seen dancing? Wings, it's punk rock, it's not like it takes finesse. How bad can it be?"

Parker's eyes got very big. Then she choked. "I can't decide between glee or fear. Honestly. I could be thrilled with the opportunity to embarass you again, or I could be afraid you're going to traumatize the freshman into emo-comas." She started to grin. "So? Let's see you dance. I need to know which."

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-01-11 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
"Awww, come on. How can I tell you you're being stupid, if there's such a good chance you're right?" Parker coaxed.

Parker snorted at the puppy eyes. Jarod's were better. Jack's were funnier.

"Do you even know if she'd want to go? Or dance when she got there? Because otherwise, she'll just go by herself." Parker started to grin evilly. "Think of it: Callisto, dancing, in the middle of all those twisting bodies, slamming into guys from every class in school...."

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-01-11 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
"Consider me the price you pay for having the fun of dating Callisto. One joy, one torment. Balance!" Parker said cheerfully.

"Wasn't it?" Parker smirked. "We're going shopping on Sunday. Be nice to me. Be very, very nice to me."

She made a face. "You don't have to dance on Friday, you know. There are always geeks hiding by the punch bowl at these things, or holding up the walls. You lurk well. You could stick with that." She smirked. "And watch Callisto dance with other guys, instead of just imagining it."

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-01-11 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
"If you can remain upright, I suppose that's all your girlfriend can ask for," Parker said. "And it's not like anyone will make a move on her if you're standing right there." She grinned. "Although, I could always tell Jack Harkness and Archie Kennedy and Lee that you *want* them to dance with her, so she doesn't get lonely."

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-01-11 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Parker chortled, far too pleased with herself. Then she remembered seeing the new poster for him, and said, "Hey. Are you *actually* running now? Did I see a poster made by you, or is someone besides me messing with you? Because if so, I want to give them cookies."

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-01-11 09:29 pm (UTC)(link)
"I like it," Parker said, surprised. "And it's accurate, too. What changed your mind? I'm almost sorry this isn't something I can torture you with now, but I'm glad you're on board."

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-01-11 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Parker mock-pouted. "Other people, sure. You never listen to me. Pfftttt." She thwapped his shoulder. "Dufus."
