Cameron's got some chocolate cake with him. He puts it on the table and settles down in one of the chairs. Keeping his head down in the lounge sounds like a good thing right now.

((Shut up. I know it's not Thursday. *mutters*))

"Nothing much," he sighed and pouted. "You didn't bring the ball back to me."

"What am I? A puppy?" she asked with a grin.

"Nah, see. I was that once? And you definitely would be a lot furrier if you were. Also, you'd be playing with that ball right now." He sighed and got up to look for his ball.

"I see, and I bow before your experience is all matters furry and dog-like." She watched him find the ball and held up her hands. "Try now when I'm expecting it."

Logan stopped in to get some coffee. He nodded at Cameron.

"Now that's just easy," he said and tossed the ball at her.

"Yo," Cameron nodded back. "How's it going?"

"I meant to tell you, I was impressed with the way you handled yourself out there, Cam." She leaned forward. "Not everyone can do that."

"I'm Kiki," she answered. "I'm TAing for poetry for Professor Chaucer this semester."

She took a bite of the cake, and continued, "And if I'm correct in assuming you're responsible for this cake? I might just have to owe you an enormous debt of gratitude."

He frowned. "Uh, I didn't do much. You guys had the hard work."

"Does everything have to be difficult?" It was much easier to catch it when she was expecting it. She tossed it back, just a bit harder.

"No debt," Cameron grinned. "Cake love is something that needs to be spread around."

"You made sure the way was clear and you took care of Molly when she needed it. Those are important qualities to have, especially in the Air Force." She lowered her voice, "and remember, some of us have training to do the hard work. You don't, yet."

"Nah, but it has to be fun." He smirked as he caught it and tossed it back right away.

Logan shrugged. "Been worse." He walked over to the couch and stumbled sleepily over Cameron's feet [Tag!] before sitting down. He shot Cameron an annoyed look.

He blushed and ducked his head. "Thanks. Think I could use it as reference on my application?"

"Fun is good," she agreed as she caught the ball and sent it back.

"Dude, my feet were totally there before you." Cameron replied, but did pull his legs in.

"If you think a reference from Samantha Carter would help your application, Cameron," Sam grinned, "I'd be happy to write one."

"Whatever," Logan mumbled into his coffee.

"Uh huh, I like fun." Cameron grinned. He caught the ball and stared down at it. Hadn't it been blue just a minute ago?

Isabel held up her hands. "Come on, I'm waiting."

"It couldn't hurt?" Cameron tilted his head. "Unless you're totally holding back on me how you've actually got the worst career ever," he teased.

"No balm for wounded soul,
Nor joyful heart to make
That's blessed as much as this -
The delicious chocolate cake," Kiki declaimed, taking another bite. "True beyond belief. I'm feeling better already."

He shrugged and tossed teh ball back her. Maybe he was just going crazy. "Impatient."
