TA Lounge, Friday, February 24

With only one class on Fridays, Bel settled in the Assistant's Lounge to spend the day studying. Not brooding. Nope. Not at all.

The door is open, come on in.

"The radio is definitely different," she said, not at all thinking about what they'd said about her spending time in Angel's room. "Talking is good. Because talking can lead to solutions. And potential happiness."

Isabel didn't say anything for a minute and just studied Bel steadily. "Does this have anything to do with what we talked about the last time? As far as making choices?"

"It is to." She sat up, frustrated. "As for everyone else around here, maybe they don't right now because they don't know you. All they know is that for the last few months you've been running around trying to bring Angelus back. Gee, can you see why they might not want to go out and have a beer with you?"

Isabel raised an eyebrow. There'd been way to much talk of boykissy at this school lately. Although the mental picture she suddenly got was pretty. But that wasn't important right now.

"Why does it have to be Angelus? Couldn't Angel help? Doesn't he have the same memories? The same abilities?"

Bel may have blushed a little at her raised eyebrow. He shook his head. "For one thing, Angel hates me. He'd kill me if he had the chance. Plus...he's not like Angelus. It's not the same."

"If Angel really wanted you dead, I'm pretty sure he would have made sure they used something a little more permanent then tranquilizers the night of the study group," she said.

Bel blinked. "Was that his decision? I figured they thought bullets would've made me too cautious. Not that easy to take me down." He scowled at the memory.

"I'm not sure who made what decisions. But I'm sure if he felt strongly about it, they would have listened to him." Shifting around, she tucked a leg under her, and then pushed her hair back. "Listen, do you want me to talk to him? Ask him to help?"

"No!" Bel said sharply. "I mean, thanks, but, um, I think this is something I need to sort out myself." He frowned, still confused over just what to do.

"Crap. I'm supposed to be at StuCo right now." She gathered up her books. "Can you stick my lunch in the fridge?" Reaching into her pocket she pulled out some money and held it out to Bel. "Here this should cover it."

When the food arrived, he took Isabel's Hot & Spicy Beef, neatly labeled it with her name, then added "If you steal this, I will find you and kick your ass. Belthazor."

After StuCo and then surviving Art Studio, Isabel returned to the lounge to hopefully find her food. Reading the note, she laughed and shook her head. If only he could always use his powers for good.
