Once more with cleaning
Angel was working on cleaning the absolutely filthy assistants lounge. This was arguably due to the fact that as a vampire with a soul he was a nice guy who enjoyed doing good deeds for others.
Or possibly he had some extra energy that he needed to work off.
Said energy had absolutely nothing to do with someone whose name began with C and ended in allisto. For the record. Ahem.
As Angel didn't think he'd be using any fire this time he had Sean with him. Sean busied himself by playing with a squeaky ball.
The ball rolled off into a corner by the cabinets, and Sean chased after it.
It was entirely possible for either the vampire or the puppy to be interrupted.

Still, noises he'd never heard before might lead to things he'd never seen before. There really was only one way to get these kinds of experiences.
Sean sniffed around the area where the noise had come from.

More rustling came from inside.

Maybe he was supposed to make noise too?
He raised a paw and scratched on the door.

He bounced on his front paws, his tail wagging like a metronome. He gave a friendly and inviting "Rrf!"

Deciding he wanted to join in on the conversation, Sean said, "Aroo?"

Sean may have caught sight of a vague shape holding onto the insides of the doors. It may have been a purplish color.

Still, it was a thing and he'd never seen a thing like it before. It was a new thing!
This was very exciting.
Sean was momentarily lost in a severe case of happy tail. Then he tried to stick his nose under one of the doors so he could greet the new thing properly.

Sean woofed his approval.

"Find something, boy?" Dad asked.
Sean barked again.
"Okay. But don't eat it."

The door shut again.

"Hey," Dad scritched him behind the ears. "Hungry?"
"Rrf!"
Dad produced a treat. He held it up above Sean's nose. "Okay, Sean. Sit."
The treat moved. Sean followed it with his eyes and felt his bottom hit the ground.
"Good boy! Very good sit. Okay, here you go."
Dad gave Sean the treat. Sean mouthed it very carefully. He trotted back to the cabinet and put the treat down on the ground.
He barked.

The door shut again.

The door shut again. Now there was squeaking coming from inside the cabinet.

He put it down outside of the cabinet and barked.

Panting and very proud of himself, Sean brought the ball back to the door.
"Having fun, boy?"
Sean wuffed a confirmation.

A small purple arm reached out and petted the puppy.
