Assistants Lounge [9/20]

Phoebe had gathered some books and notebooks and settled into the Assistants lounge to do some note taking and research for the Good Omens class and lab projects.

She started the coffee maker and brewed some tea before she settled back in to read and study.

Blair had seemed really keen on the casting bones idea.

Though his follow-up could get them in trouble... even if it would be completely educational.

Cartomancy or Tarot could be informative... though she thought that playing cards were more suitable for poker than prophecy.

Phoebe spent some time staring into her cup of tea. She certainly drank enough of it and Tea reading could be a new skill to learn.

Nadia wandered in after her class ~~if it gets posted~~. "Hey, Phoebe."

Phoebe looked up. "Hey Nadia."

"What are you up to?"

"Researching the different divination techniques for the Good Omens class." She smiled at her. "Oh hey, any clue what to do for our project for the lab portion?"

"Nope. No ideas for what to do for the regular one, either."

Phoebe snickered. "Niether do I. Though Blair thinks casting the bones sounds like a great idea."

Besides, being focused on this kept her from having to deal with what was bothering her.

"I don't know about you, but I'm a little worried about how this Friday's lab is going to go."

Phoebe looked up and then closed her notebook. "I am, too, Nadia."

"What do you think he'll have us do?"

Huh. Bibliomancy. Now that was an interesting idea. Prophecy via reading. She might have to ask Rory what she thought about that idea.

Mac made a beeline for the coffee when she got to the TA lounge. Sumo wrestling is really not her sport of choice.

She smiled at Phoebe and gave a quick wave of greeting. "Morning."

Phoebe waved back. "Hi Mac."

Once she'd poured her coffee Mac made her way over to Phoebe. "Wow, that's a lot of books. What's that lot for?"

"My Good Omens.. and Bad class," she explained. "We're studying different forms of divination and prohecies."

Mac nodded, taking a sip of her drink. "Well, at least it sounds interesting. Even if it does involve a lot of researchy stuff."

"I seem to have completely avoided anything like that in my classes this year. It's been... different." Yeah, that about covered it.

"How did you manage that?"

"Not entirely sure," Mac said. "So far this week I've had art therapy, been forced to ask someone out, and I just sumo wrestled with Angela. Apparently, you can get graded on that."

Phoebe blinked. "Forced to ask someone out? Sumo wrestling?"

Ornomancy? Divination by a person's name sounded like it could be a lot of fun.

Oh, that's neat. She wondered if Grams knew of Macharomancy? It seemed pretty cool to be able to tell the future by using knives or swords. Would an Athame count?

Phoebe's off in Hunting 101, so the lounge is locked.
