Wednesday Morning

Phoebe opens up the lounge and immediately starts brewing the coffee. She has a feeling that she's going to need a lot of it, today.

She has her hair pulled up in a ponytail and is wearing a unique blue jewel around her neck that she often plays with.

She has a notebook in front of her and is making notes and doodles ... about weddings and...

"You wanted to protect Cole? Did you even think about me or Prue or Paige when you signed this contract?" Piper can't believe what she is hearing. "I can't lose you, don't you get that? How am I supposed to protect you now?"

"You're not going to lose me!" Phoebe wails. "I thought if I kept him off of Cole, then Cole wouldn't lose his temper and hurt..." She swallows. "Yes, I did think of you three! I wanted to protect all of you!"

Piper sighs. "How is marrying a demon going to protect us? Seriously, Phoebe. We cannot have a demon in the family."

"Piper...I'm going to keep my promise. He...he saved my life after I tried to jump from the balcony."

"You did what?" This was all too much for Piper to process.

"Cole...he came to see me on Saturday. I thught we were going to talk and maybe make up, I loved him so much. He was kissing me and holding me...I told him I loved him, and he said..." Phoebe looks down. "He said, I love you too, Piper..."

Piper suddenly felt very ill. "Oh. My. God. Are you sure you weren't dreaming? I seriously doubt he loves me. And if he does... I certainly do NOT share the same feelings. At all."

"Not a dream," she says softly. "Smelled like him, felt like him, was him. He denies it, but..."

Piper sighs. "I have no idea what to say about that. But I do not love him. You have to believe that."

"I know you don't. You love Lindsey and need to talk to him before Cole does and ruins your relationship."

Piper blinks. "Have you been talking to Veronica?"

"Go to him, Piper."

"Don't change the subject," Piper sighed. "Look, Pheebs, I have to go process all of this."

"I love you. And I'm going to try to find a way to get you out of this mess," she said quietly before leaving.

"Piper!" Phebe says. "I'm staying with Crowley. I want to. I plan to marry him. I love him."

Piper returns for a moment when she hears Phoebe's shouts. "Well, then I guess you made your choice."

With that, she turns and walks away sadly.

Phoebe waits to make sure that Piper is out of hearing range before dropping her head into her arms and sobbing.
