With only one class on Friday, Bel opened up the Assistants Lounge and settled in for a relaxing day of reading up on Japanese weddings.

"Sewing's not that hard," John says absently. "A thread, a needle and fabric and there you go."

Realizing what he's just said, John blushes slightly. "Um, so I've heard."

"I can do basic stuff," John admits. "Nothing like putting together a whole kimono. Have you tried the internet? It's good for something other than...well, you know."

"Figured I could just get a pass and shimmer to Japan," Bel said. "Pick one up that way. I need to have it by Tuesday, so not really time to order one."

"Shimmer? Sounds nifty," John says, nodding. "I think I'm gonna go with the boring chocolate and flowers and stuff. If I tried to shimmer, I'd pull a groin or something."

"Oh, it's not for Valentine's Day," Bel said. "I mean, I need it by then, but it's for sociology class. Me and Allie have to do a marriage ceremony."
