Up early that morning and unable to fall back asleep, Bel wandered down to the Assistants' Lounge and opened it up for the day.

"Veronica," Bel said, making another face.

"Like that's a shock?" Angel asked. "Yeah. She kinda reminds me of Buffy. If I'd let myself I probably could've fallen for her pretty hard. But she's nuts about Logan and him for her, so I backed off."

Bel bit back any further comments about Veronica and instead simply said, "Guess things worked out for the best then."

"Logan's with her, I'm with Cal, I'd say so," Angel said.

"Why, think things can't be peaceful for too long?" Bel asked.

"Pretty much," Angel said. "I'm used to something coming up every Tuesday with some bigger explosion at least three times a year. I'm starting to get twitchy."

"Well, let's see, more zombies, Darla, the Source could come after me, whoever Isabel is scared of could come after her, generic demons, gremlin invasion...yeah, odds are something will happen one of these days."

"Plus graduation," Angel pointed out. "Tell me that's not a target for a hellmouth or wormhole or something to open up and try to kill us all."

"What, you can't handle a little thing like a wormhole by yourself?" Bel teased. "I suppose I could help out."

"We really haven't had much of a chance to do that," Bel said. "But I'd like to."

"Back in my dimension, yeah," Angel said. "I've lived there before. I think I can make a go of it."

"Sounds like a plan," Bel said with a laugh. "Just the guys, no girls allowed?"
